Jim Goodwin insists St Mirren will challenge SPFL Covid ruling as he makes 'fairness' plea

SPFL ruling that saw them lose six Premiership points isn’t over. The Buddies gaffer, whose team were hit with two 3-0 Premiership defeats as a Covid punishment last week, insists the club will challenge the decision.

He believes St Mirren have been treated unfairly despite being found guilty of protocol breaches that included car sharing. Goodwin said: “We are extremely disappointed with the outcome.“The board of directors will now decide what our next steps will be.

We will fight for a better outcome.“We’re not expecting a great deal of sympathy for the mistakes we have made but there are things that need to be looked at and maybe a bit of fairness applied.“I’m talking about car sharing when individuals knew that wasn’t allowed.
