His controversial TV show was suddenly axed back in 2019 following the death of guest Steve Dymond, with presenter Jeremy Kyle later being named as a ‘person of interest’ in the inquest.
And now the TV host has broken his silence in a new interview, saying he felt ‘hunted and like a scapegoat’ in the aftermath of the cancellation.
Jeremy, 56, also opened up about his struggle with depression and being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder following the end of the show during his chat with The Sun.
He told the paper: ‘I don’t want to sound ‘woe is me’, and as I’ve said the whole thing was a terrible tragedy — devastating for Steve Dymond’s friends and family, of course, and for the many people who worked on the show. ‘But it did hit me hard.
