James Yorkston has announced that he will release an album with The Second Hand Orchestra, titled ‘The Wide, Wide River’, in the new year.

First single, ‘The Struggle’, is out now.“It’s me telling my kids that it’s OK to not be OK, and that indeed, sometimes I struggle”, says Yorkston of the song.Of recording the track with The Second Hand Orchestra – led by music producer Karl-Jonas Winqvist – Yorkston goes on: “The band were sat in the studio by themselves, looping the verses over and over.
