Ethan Shanfeld MGM is in negotiations to acquire “Combat Control,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Sam Hargrave (“Extraction”).Hargrave and Shelby Malone will also serve as associate producers alongside Gyllenhaal and Ryan Cassells as executive producers.The Hideaway Entertainment president Matthew Rhodes, CEO Jonathan Gray and VP Kristy Grisham will produce and co-finance the project. Rhodes, who formerly led Bold Films, worked with Gyllenhaal on 2014’s “Nightcrawler.”“Combat Control” is based on the New York Times bestseller “Alone at Dawn,” a true story about American war veteran John Chapman (to be played by Gyllenhaal), written by Dan Schilling and Lori Chapman Longfritz.

Taylor Swift fans have something to celebrate today, after the multi-Grammy winner dropped a preview of her newly-recorded “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)”. The singer, who is in the midst of re-recording the songs off of her first six albums, gave fans their first peek at her hit 2014 song in the trailer for the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film Spirit Untamed. The movie follows a young girl who meets a kindred spirit in the form of a wild Mustang, and Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal will lend his voice to one of the characters.

Taylor Swift's re-recorded version of her 2015 hit, «Wildest Dreams,» sounds every bit as great as its original. The singer's new version appears in the upcoming trailer for the DreamWorks Animation film, and she shared snippets of it on her Instagram Story on Friday.«Thank you #SpiritUntamed for using Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version) in your new trailer!» she wrote.

Elle Fanning has joined the cast of Barry Levinson’s “Francis and the Godfather” about the making of “The Godfather.” She will portray actress Ali MacGraw in the film.Fanning joins a cast that includes Oscar Isaac as Francis Ford Coppola and Jake Gyllenhaal as Paramount executive Robert Evans. MacGraw, who is known for her role in “Love Story,” was married to Evans at the time of the production and had just won the Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer.
