'It's just a complete lack of respect': Daughters' anger after huge pile of earth dumped on mum's grave

Wythenshawe, were shocked to find their late mum's plot had been covered with soil. Their mum, Sandra Wolstenholme-Crompton, is buried at Southern Cemetery in Chorlton.

She died of breast cancer in 2019. Pictures show a huge mound of soil covering much of Sandra's grave.Her headstone was protected by a wooden board, but Sara says much of the memorabilia next to the grave was damaged.Sara said she was told by workers they had been digging a new grave and needed somewhere to put of the soil temporarily.The family claim there was plenty of open space where the dirt could have been emptied. "It just shows a complete lack of respect," Sara said told Manchester Evening News . "My sister went to the grave yesterday (Tuesday) and found a big pile.
