Syed Mohammed Ahmed Fasih, known as Ahmed, had a tracheostomy at three months old after issues with his airway were found, an inquest heard.

The seven-year-old's parents Kheruma and Syed checked on him regularly and changed or suctioned his tube as and when he needed it.

On March 20 last year his parents did their normal checks on Ahmed at their south Manchester home every few hours. He lay quietly on his back throughout this process. Read more: His father went out at about 1pm without his phone, Manchester Coroner's Court heard.
