Holly Joyce, 27, met traveller Dougie Joyce, 34, online in September 2019. They liked each other's pictures on Instagram and eventually started sending each other direct messages.
They met in March 2020 at a restaurant in Manchester, and after just a few hours, Dougie said he would 'marry her'. Dougie had had previous relationships with women outside the traveller community, but Holly had never dated a member of the community before.
