Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern & Vanessa Kirby Get 10 Minute Standing Ovation For 'The Son' at Venice Film Festival
justjared.comHugh Jackman and Laura Dern hit the red carpet together for the premiere of their new movie, The Son, during the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 7) in Venice, Italy.
The two actors joined Vanessa Kirby and Zen McGrath at the premiere event, along with director Florian Zeller. Hugh‘s wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, was also seen on the red carpet.
Following the screening of the movie, there was a 10 minute standing ovation for the cast there. In a video that is on social media, they are seen taking several bows as the crowd cheered.
The Son centers on a family as it struggles to reunite after falling apart: Peter (Jackman), whose hectic life with his infant and new partner Emma (Kirby) is upended when his ex-wife Kate (Dern) appears with their son Nicholas (McGrath), who is now a teenager.
