For the purposes of recording coronavirus cases, Public Health England divides Stockport up into 42 ‘middle layer super output areas’ (MSOAs).
Of these 31 recorded fewer than three cases during the week to April 23 - meaning the virus is officially classed as being ‘suppressed’.
This means some 75pc of the borough - including parts of Reddish, Gatley and Heald Green previously flagged as hotspots - potentially saw no new cases during that time.
