broadcast  live following BBC Scotland's decision to scrap it from TV. The BBC announced last week that it will stop broadcasting the Scottish Government’s updates on a regular basis, and instead show them based on their “news value”.

Scores of Scots slammed the decision and launched a petition to call for it to be reversed. But it will return on air today, as the First Minister takes to the stage in St Andrew’s House in Edinburgh at 12.15pm this afternoon.

People will be able to watch the briefing on BBC One Scotland the BBC Scotland channel. The updates will also be streamed on the Scottish Government's Twitter, which can be found at @scotgov.
