Horror smash closes A96 in Aberdeenshire as emergency services remain at the scene

Aberdeenshire has been closed by police after a rush-hour car crash. Emergency services were called to the scene on the A96 near Colpy at around 7.30am on Wednesday, April 28.

Both north and southbound carriageways have been closed as a result of the two car collision with diversions put in place for motorists.

Traffic Scotland is warning travellers to expect delays as emergency services remain at the scene.They tweeted: “A96 is closed in both directions at Colpy due to an RTC.
