HFPA Responds to Having Zero Black Members for Golden Globes Voting

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has released a statement in response to a recent exposé that revealed the organization has zero Black members.

For those that don’t know, the HFPA is the organization that throws the Golden Globes every year. There are 87 members who get to vote for the awards and none of them are Black journalists.

Everyone was shocked when none of the Best Picture nominees were Black-led films, like One Night in Miami, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Judas and the Black Messiah, or Da 5 Bloods.
