Heartbroken family allowed to say goodbye to granddad dying from coronavirus via video call thanks to 'amazing' NHS staff

A heartbroken family have paid tribute to a beloved great-granddad who died after contracting coronavirus. Kenneth Bushell, 90, succumbed to the effects of the virus at Stepping Hill Hospital on Wednesday.

His devastated granddaughter, Kay Bamford, has thanked "amazing" NHS staff who allowed her and her sister to say goodbye via a video call.

The mum says she was also able to visit her granddad for 15 minutes, a few days before he passed away, after the hospital provided her with the necessary protective equipment.
