Hamilton head coach Stuart Taylor says every signing he makes must fit into the Accies profile as he hunts new recruits.Taylor has had a trialist training with his Championship group this week ahead of facing Dunfermline at East End Park on Saturday.Accies have made two signings so far this window, with Daniel O'Reilly and Ellis Brown arriving from Drogheda United and Boreham Wood. But it hasn't been all plain-sailing on the transfer front.
Accies have watched a few deals fall through in their attempts to bolster a squad that sits in the Championship's sixth spot.Described as an attack-minded player, the trialist won't be registered for the match in Dunfermline this weekend. When asked if the trialist could feature against Dunfermline, Taylor said: "No.
We'll always do loads of checks on players."Sometimes you can be fortunate enough to have players in on trial, sometimes you can't.
There are loads and loads of things I will look at to make sure the player we are signing is the right player."And the Hamilton head coach reckons centre-back O'Reilly from Drogheda United has set the standard for transfer incomings: "We can not afford to make any bad signings."Every player has to be the right player and the right type for this football club.
