direct to your inboxMore than 5,000 people have now died in Greater Manchester's hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus.The tragic milestone was passed on Sunday as another 27 deaths were recorded.It means the region's hospital death toll is now 5,006.The 5,000th death in Greater Manchester was recorded 329 days after the first - when a man in his 60s died at North Manchester General Hospital on March 8, 2020.
Today (Sunday) another 15 deaths were reported at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.Five more people died at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, while three more fatalities took place at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
