Join thousands of others in getting the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox.A dairy site near Kippen could soon be turning cattle slurry into heat-producing gas.Graham’s the Family Dairy have yet to submit a planning application for their proposal, but have already asked Stirling Council planners whether an Environmental Impact Assessment would be needed alongside any plans.The dairy are considering installing an “anaerobic digester facility” for the production of biomethane on current hardstanding and grazing land at Mains of Boquhan Farm around 400 metres north of the A811, east of Kippen roundabout and around 2.5 kilometres from the village.Anaerobic digestion is described as a process through which bacteria break down.
