The creator of video game phenomenon Fortnite is bringing a new type of technology to Ayrshire roads. Epic Games are behind the Photorealistic visualisation, which allows drivers to purchase electric cars with advanced 3D animations and immersive graphics.

Volvo Cars has collaborated with Epic to bring high-quality graphics to its upcoming range of electric cars. The partnership will allow the next generation of Volvo cars to showcase advanced displays that feature sharper renderings, richer colours and brand-new 3D animations.

Within the next 18 months, the technology will allow Ayr drivers to purchase electric cars from Park's Volvo on Heathfield Road that include Volvo’s next-generation infotainment system.

This will be more than twice as fast as its predecessor, creating a cutting-edge user experience. The first car to contain the new graphics is the new, all-electric flagship model that Volvo Cars will reveal later this year. The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page with the sections that matter to you.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now on iOS and Android.
