James Christian Kimmel (born November 13, 1967) is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He is the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a late-night talk show that premiered on ABC on January 26, 2003 at Hollywood Masonic Temple in Hollywood, California; and on April 1, 2019, at a secondary home, the Zappos Theater on the Las Vegas Strip. Kimmel hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2012 and 2016, and the Academy Awards in 2017 and 2018.

She first garnered attention for her work on the YouTube web series Awkward Black Girl. She subsequently gained further recognition for creating, co-writing, and starring in the HBO television series Insecure. For her acting work on Insecure, she has received two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

First Presenters Revealed for Emmy Awards 2020 - See the List!

ABC has announced the first list of presenters for the upcoming 2020 Emmy Awards, which will air live on Sunday, September 20.

Television’s biggest night will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and the virtual show will air live on ABC. Anthony Anderson, America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Gabrielle Union, J.J.

Watt, Lena Waithe, and Oprah Winfrey have been announced as the first presenters of the event.

Grammy winner H.E.R. will be performing during the In Memoriam segment. It was previously revealed that the in-person ceremony for the Emmys was canceled due to the pandemic and everyone will be appearing via Zoom from their own homes.
