A woman in her 70s was rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary after a blaze broke out at her ground floor flat in Levenshulme on Monday afternoon (March 22).

Neighbours raced to help the woman as smoke billowed out from the windows of the property on Broom Lane, just after 3pm. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) have now confirmed that the fire is non-suspicious.
