Bolton are set to increase as part of a new crackdown. Under new plans, anyone caught dropping litter in the borough could be fined £150 - almost double the current sum of £80.Householders could also face a £400 penalty if they are found to have paid illegal waste carriers to remove waste which is then flytipped.The crackdown from Bolton Council also includes plans to get tough on those dumping rubbish at the roadside from cars.
Under existing rules, council enforcement teams have to prove who has dropped the litter from the car.
