Forecasters say thunderstorms and flash flooding will bring to an end a two day heatwave - with Wednesday being the hottest September day for around 115 years.
Residents in Falkirk have been told to prepare for heavy rain and travel disruption today, Thursday September, 9. A Yellow 'be prepared' warning has been issued by the Met Office which states there is potential for 20 to 30 mm of rain in less than an hour and up to 40 mm in 2 hours for some places.
It is in place from 10am until 8pm.Homes and businesses could also be flooded as a result of the bad weather, and there is also the chance that some small rural communities could temporarily become cut off by flooded roads.Falkirk Live is an exciting new title bringing you the latest.
