'Explosion' at Larbert house LIVE as fire crews and search and rescue arrive

Emergency services are currently in a residential street after reports of an ‘explosion’ at a house in Larbert. At least seven fire appliances are currently in attendance with a further five - including specialist resources - on the way after the alarm was raised at 1.40pm on Saturday.

A search and rescue team has arrived on the scene, which is cordoned off.More to follow.Pictures from the scene show thick black smoke billowing out of the affected property as fire crews use hose jets to try extinguish the flames.A video seen by the Daily Record shows the roof of the terraced house has completely collapsed in from the force of the explosion.

Residents reported hearing a 'loud bang' before the fire took hold.Police Scotland have urged members of the public to stay away from the area while the incident remains ongoing.It is not currently known whether anyone has been injured.A large police cordon has been erected around the residential street.
