The UK's lockdown turned us into a nation of runners, as one of the few forms of exercise that was safely permitted until restrictions were relaxed a little this week.

For many, though we've tried to make running into an enjoyable habit, it still feels like the hardest thing in the world. Pounding pavements, sore knees, burning lungs, boredom and general fatigue are all things we have to battle when setting out for a jog.

Then we saw fundraiser Amy Hughes's phenomenal charity run last month, which saw her run for 26 hours straight on her treadmill at home, covering 104.5 miles - and our daily 5ks felt a bit small-fry.
