Expert develops formula to get up 'on the right side of the bed' every morning

Sleeping is crucial to human survival and those who don't get a regular good night's kip can often wake up in a foul mood. But a number's expert claims they have created a new formula which, if followed correctly, guarantees you to wake up "on the right side of the bed".The amount of time you spend eating breakfast, exercising, and showering in the morning all contribute to making sure you wake up energised, ready for the day ahead.Developed by leading arithmetician and Countdown star Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE, the formula takes into account all the factors that contribute to a good start in the morning – including the hours you spent sleeping, and the optimum waking-up time, reports Wales Online.It is based on a study of 2,000 adults, which found that Brits aim to spend an average of 21 minutes exercising, 10 minutes showering, and 18 minutes eating breakfast.And 6.44am was found to be the ideal time to wake up for the best morning start, while 37 minutes was the optimum time to spend getting ready.Doing activities which stimulate the brain – like word puzzles or reading the news – also increases the chances of starting the day in a positive frame of mind, as well as meditation and avoiding digital devices first thing.But a good breakfast could make all the difference for some, as 28 per cent of those polled claimed not having a decent meal first thing is one of the main reasons for a bad start.Emily Dutton, from Special K, said: “We will all have a different routine in the morning to get off to a good start.
