The statement, see it in full below, says the industry requires “urgent financial support now and in the months to come” as the film and audiovisual ecosystem “is suffering grievously because of valid social distancing measures and related societal consequences.” It warns, “The crisis in our sector will be felt way beyond the confinement period.” The statement, published ahead of this afternoon’s video conference of EU culture and media
