Emergency services scrambled to crash on main road as multiple people injured

A heavy emergency services presence was sparked after a crash in Heywood yesterday. The incident happened on Bury New Road on Saturday afternoon.

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service were pictured at the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the crash involved two cars.

One of the vehicles involved appeared to be a taxi. The front bumper of the other vehicle looked to be badly damaged. A section of Bury New Road was taped off while crews dealt with the crash.
