Dumbarton firm helping grieving families by filming lockdown funerals

It’s the final celebration of a person’s life with crowds of well-wishers expected to turn up as a poignant mark of respect.But lockdown restrictions mean only a handful of grieving family members can attend funerals and social distancing rules stop them hugging each other for comfort in some cases.

Now a unique partnership between a popular local minister and a Dumbarton filming company is aiming to make sure memories live on and loved ones don’t miss out.

Craig Jump, managing director of Dumbarton firm Turkey Red Media, is working with the Reverend Ian Miller, local churches and Cardross Crematorium to film funeral services.He admits he finds the situation an upsetting change from the corporate events his team usually attend.Craig told
