Driving instructors in north Manchester have taken part in a 'slow drive' in memory of a teenager who was killed in a hit and run.Around 25 instructors gathered in their cars for the peaceful protest on Lightbowne Road in Moston - where 14-year-old Mia Strothers lost her life.The school girl had been on her way to North Manchester Academy when she was hit by a speeding BMW at 8.15am on October 5.This week, Kevin Pryce, 45, pleaded guilty to causing the death of the teenager by dangerous driving.Prosecutors told Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday that he was travelling at about 57mph when he hit Mia.
The speed limit is 30mph.Mia's death has prompted a campaign by her family and the local community, who have called for speed calming measures.
