Driver's lucky escape as lorry overturns on the M6 causing long delays

Police, paramedics and Highways North West were called to the scene at junction 33 on the southbound carriageway at around 11.15pm last night (April 18) after a HGV crashed and flipped.

A closure was put in place between junctions 34 at Lancaster and 32 at Preston while emergency services attended, with police warning motorists that the route would remain shut for hours, LancsLive reports.

Fortunately, authorities have said that nobody was seriously injured in the crash. The incident also resulted in an oil spillage on the motorway, adding to the delays.
