Dr Dre says family were told to say their goodbyes after brain aneurysm
completemusicupdate.comDr Dre has revealed that he came so close to death after experiencing a brain aneurysm last year that his family were told that they should say their goodbyes to him.
However, he insists that he “never felt like I was in trouble”.In a message to fans in early January 2021, confirming he was in hospital recovering from the aneurysm, Dre said that he was “doing great and getting excellent care”.
However, it turns out, the situation was far more grave.“They weren’t allowing anybody to come up – meaning visitors or family or anything like that – because of COVID”, he tells the Workout The Doubt podcast. “But they allowed my family to come in [and] I found out later, they called them up so they could say their last goodbyes, because they thought I was outta here.
I didn’t know it was that serious… Nobody told me, I had no idea. That was crazy”.However, he goes on, “I never felt like I was in trouble.
