Thomas McCann, 49, attacked Yvonne McCann after an argument at their home in Brinnington, Stockport last year. Parts of the mother's body were later found by dog walkers days at nearby Reddish Vale Country Park.

McCann was jailed for life on Tuesday, with a minimum sentence of 13 years and four months, less time served in custody - meaning a term of 12 years and 182 days.
