It’s finally here. After the January 9 ceremony was delayed amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the 27th annual Critics’ Choice Awards are set for Sunday, March 13.The ceremony will honor the best movies and television of the last year, chosen by more than 525 media critics and entertainment journalists who make up the Critics’ Choice Association. Taye Diggs (Private Practice) will return as host, a position he has held since 2019, but he’ll have a cohost for the 2022 show. Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) will join him.“Excited to be again hosting the Critics’ Choice Awards with Miss Nicole Byer,” Diggs, 51, said in a press release. “It’s always a fun time and Miss Byer is hilarious.
Very much looking forward to it.”Byer, 35, added, “Ooooh! What a nice treat, I am so excited to be hosting the Critics’ Choice Awards with Taye!
Oh, the gowns, the stars, the attention… on me on a stage cohosting! I’m very excited for all of it.”The 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards will be an international affair.
While the show is based in Los Angeles at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel, viewers will also get to travel across the pond throughout the night.
