But it was a different story for Cristiano Ronaldo's £220,000 Bentley in Cheshire yesterday. The Man United star's driver was spotted waiting almost seven hours to refuel at a petrol station in Wilmslow - only to give up without success.
The government said today it believes the country's fuel crisis is easing. It is believed less than a third of petrol stations are now experiencing shortages, compared with around 60 per cent at the weekend.
