Costa Coffee is recalling its Jammy Rudolph Shortcake because it contains egg that is not mentioned on the label. The undeclared ingredient poses a possible health risk for those with an egg allergy or intolerance.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has urged customers with an egg allergy or intolerance not to eat the product and instead return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
The coffee chain has also issued a point of sale notice about the “necessary precaution” of the recall, which affects batches with a best before date of January 7, 2021.Costa Coffee said: “We have notified the relevant allergen bodies and food governance agencies and are carrying out a full investigation with our supplier to understand how this.
