CORONATION Street star Sam Robertson has hinted he may soon quit the soap as Adam Barlow. The actor - who has played lawyer Adam for five years for this stint - has revealed his struggles with the character and his current storylines.
Viewers have watched as Adam has been targeted by ex girlfriend Lydia Chambers in a Fatal Attraction inspired storyline. However actor Sam has admitted he was troubled by the plot when he was first told about it.
Speaking to The Sun and other media, he said: “You know what, at first, I was a little bit troubled by it because we did a storyline the year before when Adam has a fling with Carla. “And there was a lot of trouble with Adam and Sarah’s marriage then and I felt personally that it’s soon after that to do another story where Adam and Sarah are having trouble again. “I think it’s tough on Tina and I to do a lot of arguments and Tina and I have gone from working together, having fun and having a lot of harmony with the material and then suddenly we're at the each other’s throats all the time. “So it's been really tough to do that again, so soon after 12 months before getting through it.
So at first I was like, ‘Oh God man, this is gonna be tough’. “Walking on set and arguing – even though it’s a fake couple, it’s still a challenging day on set.
