CORONATION Street bosses are plotting to keep older actors on-screen after a filming ban with video chat scenes. Filming is yet to restart on the ITV soap but even when it does, network boss Kevin Lygo has banned older actors from returning to the set until social distancing measures have eased.
With no idea when that might happen, Corrie bosses are trying to figure out how to keep older fan favourites such as Ken Barlow, Audrey Roberts and Rita Sullivan on our screens.
A source told Talk TV: "Bosses know just how important these characters are to their millions of fans. “And who wouldn’t love to see the likes of Ken, Evelyn and Roy taking part in a Zoom quiz night? “Or Tracy calling her dad and telling him how much she misses him.
