Cops launch probe after 14-year-old girl sexually assaulted at Scots nature reserve

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An investigation is under way after a report that a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at Merkland Nature Reserve on the evening of Saturday, May 8, 2021.“We are currently gathering as much information as we can about this incident and are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry as part of this.“We want to thank the community for their assistance so far.
