Colston made his fortune from the Royal African Company which infamously branded slaves with its RAC initials on their chests.On Tuesday a statue of Scottish slave trader Robert Milligan was removed from its position at West India Quay in London by the local council as it was no longer deemed acceptable to the local community.The statue of William of Orange was initially targeted on Sunday after an anti-racism rally at Glasgow Green when an anti-police slogan was written on the memorial plinth.
