Connie Britton returned to 9-1-1 in tonight’s penultimate episode of season three and the preview for next week’s finale revealed a big detail about what Abby has been up to.

The last time we saw Abby was the end of season one, when she left her then-boyfriend Buck (Oliver Stark) and went to live in Ireland on her own.

Now, Abby is back and she just called 9-1-1 after being involved in a “mass casualty” train accident. In the preview for next week’s episode, Abby is seen reuniting with Buck and she tells him that her fiance is on the train.

She’s engaged! The season three finale airs on Monday, May 11 at 8/7c on Fox. In other Connie news, she recently shared some rare photos of her son!

Last Man Standing Season 9

Last Man Standing hasn't been renewed for Season 9 yet, and in Fox's recent announcement of what's to come for the fall season, the Tim Allen-led family series wasn't on the schedule. Delays on a decision may be due in part to the fact that, last season, Fox unveiled Last Man Standing as a midseason program, kicking off Season 8 in January of 2019. Of course, coronavirus has made everything uncertain too; nobody knows when or how shows would be able to start filming again. Still, it's safe to assume that the series' cast and crew want to get back to work for another season, and it's probable that Fox will bring back such a reliable performer and fan favorite at a time when experts are predicting an increased appetite for traditional TV.
