A coach driver knocked down and killed a man after being distracted by adjusting the radio, prosecutors allege. James Gregson, 65, denies causing the death of 35-year-old James Kakansas by careless driving.
Mr Gregson, from Wigan, was driving a student basketball team from Manchester to Durham and back prior to the collision. READ MORE: Police want to speak to man after woman sexually assaulted at city centre hotel Mr Kakansas had been drinking in the Alliance Inn, and was hit after leaving the pub and crossing the road on Rochdale Road in Harpurhey.
Prosecutors said CCTV from inside his coach showed Mr Gregson adjusting the radio with his left hand for about four seconds prior to the collision.
