Clydebank murder probe launched as police name victim of 'targeted attack'

Clydebank.Billy McGuire died after police were alerted to reports of two men seriously injured in a property in Perth Crescent at around 12.05am on Monday December 21.Two men are believed to have entered the property where a number of people had gathered and became involved in an altercation with Mr McGuire and another man.They then made off from the house.Mr McGuire, 25, was then rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

His family have been informed.The other man, aged 34, was also taken to hospital, with medics describing his condition as critical but stable.Officers have now confirmed a murder and attempted murder inquiry is underway following the 'targeted attack'.A full report.
