Child Benefit will be paid on different days for some people next week - check yours now

Child Benefit is a payment made to people who are responsible for bringing up a child aged below 16 or a young person under 20, if they are still in full-time education or on certain approved training courses.

The benefit is usually paid every four weeks, either on a Monday or a Tuesday, but it can also be paid weekly if you are getting Income Support or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or if you are a single parent.

However, there are two upcoming bank holidays next month that could result in changes to payment dates for some people if they are due to receive their Child Benefit on August 2, 3 or 30.
