This indicates more people are opting to book a car, pick it up from a location, drive it and then return it to the same spot once their journey is complete.

The report concluded that there are 5,177 fewer cars on Scotland’s roads and said these figures show its significant role in cutting carbon emissions and reducing the demand for private cars.
