British soldiers have been told they must be ready for a war against Russia by a senior military officer. Warrant Officer Paul Carney has urged troops to inform their loved ones of potential deployment as the Russian invasion of Ukraine rages on.
The 'other ranks' soldier said the UK military is currently 'shaping itself to meet the threat from Russia and was ready to counter any aggression'.
He stated that troops must prepare “families and loved ones” for the possibility of conflict in the East, Wales Online reports.
Mr Carney went on to say that times have changed since Vladimir Putin launched his assault on Ukraine six months ago. And now British forces must 'be prepared for the new realities'.
