Bridgerton forced to halt filming as ‘pingdemic’ grips the UK

The long awaited ‘Freedom Day’ may have arrived in the UK, but not everyone is breathing a sigh of relief as positive COVID tests up and down the country are still stopping people in their tracks.

That’s certainly the case for the cast and crew of Bridgerton who have found production halted yet again due to COVID-19. Netflix confirmed to Sky News that filming has stopped on series two of the hugely popular show yet again after a team member tested positive for coronavirus for the second time in a week.

The streaming giant hasn’t revealed if any of the actors themselves have fallen ill but it did emphasise that it is taking health and safety guidelines seriously and protocol will continue when it comes to the infectious virus.
