Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Borna Barisic in Rangers injury sweat as Croatia doctor explains Nations League absence

Borna Barisic after it was revealed he was sidelined for his country's defeat in France because of a knee injury. The Croatia international was in the team for his nation in their Nations League opener as they were battered 4-1 by Portugal in Porto.

He would have played in Tuesday's 2018 World Cup Final rematch against France, which Croatia again lost, this time going down to a 4-2 defeat in Paris.

But Croatian FA team doctor Zoran Bahtijarevic has revealed why manager Zlatko Dalic opted to leave the Rangers full back on the bench for 90 minutes.He said: "Borna Barisic got a knock on his knee against Portugal."I couldn't say with certainty that he would have been fully ready for the match in France." Barisic has become one of Steven Gerrard.
