The Prime Minister has again ruled out an extension of the furlough scheme - which comes to an end on October 31.Talking in the House of Commons at Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday, Boris Johnson said continuing the job retention scheme was 'not sensible' despite warnings of job losses.Mr Johnson was pressed by Labour MP Rachael Maskell (York Central) to extend the scheme in a reformed and targeted way to help thousands of workers.Ms Maskell said 22 percent of workers in her constituency alone could lose their jobs unless furlough is available.Mr Johnson replied: “Extending the furlough scheme is not the right way, not sensible.
