It’s the first leading role in a British show for the actor, who was warned off a showbiz career by her 60-year-old rock star dad, whose real name is Paul Hewson.
But Eve - whose full name is Memphis Eve Sunny Day Hewson - pursued her dream and quickly discovered being Bono’s daughter helped her to secure auditions.
Speaking in the latest edition of the Radio Times, she said: “That’s never been a problem for me, and I think that’s because of my family. “That’s not the way the system should.
