Billy Gilmour has created his own piece of history. In the goalless draw with England the 20-year-old made his first competitive appearance and first start for his country.He pulled the strings at the head of the Scotland midfield and taught the Auld Enemy a couple of lessons in the process.
However, after being given the nod by Steve Clarke, the Chelsea starlet has become the youngest player to ever turn out for Scotland at a national tournament.
Gilmour turned 20 just days before Scotland's return to a major finals, and his run out in London surpasses Duncan Ferguson's previous record.Ferguson, who was on the book at Dundee United at the time, came off the bench in defeat to the Netherlands at Euro 1992 aged 20 years and 168 days.
