Former Britain’s Got Talent child star Hollie Steele has claimed that the hit ITV show’s “song choices are fixed” and that they “didn’t want me to win”.
Hollie stole the hearts of the nation as a sweet ten year old in 2009, when she stunned judge Simon Cowell with her pitch-perfect performance of Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the Opera.
Her impressive classical singing voice went on to earn her a place in the final, although she didn’t go on to win. Other impressive acts in the memorable 2009 series of Britain’s Got Talent included father-son duo Stavros Flatley, young singer Shaheen Jafargholi, singer Susan Boyle and the eventual winners, dance group, Diversity.
